y1 = x²-2x
y2 = 6x-x²
Ditanya :
Luas daerah yang dibatasi kurva tersebut ?
Penyelesaian :
y1 = y2
x² - 2x = 6x - x²
x² - 2x - 6x + x² = 0
2x² - 8x = 0
(2x)(x - 4) = 0
Maka :
2x = 0
x = 0
dan
x - 4 = 0
x = 4
Batas bawah integral = 0
Batas bawah integral = 4
Jadi di dapat :
x ---> 4
y1 = x² - 2x = 4² - 2.4 = 16 - 8 = 8
y2 = 6x - x² = 6.4 - 4² = 24 - 16 = 8
x----> 1
y1 = x² - 2x = 1² - 2.1 = 1 - 2 = -1
y2 = 6x - x² = 6.1 - 1² = 6 - 1 = 5
= 4 inegral 0 (y1 - y2) dx
= 4 inegral 0 (x² - 2x - (6x - x²)) dx
= 4 inegral 0 (x² - 2x - 6x + x²) dx
= 4 inegral 0 (2x² - 8x) dx
= (2x³/3) - 4x²
Jadi bila x = 4
= ((2*4³)/3) - 4*4²
= ((2*64)/3) - 4*16
= (128/3) - (64)
= (128/3) - (64*3)/3
= (128/3) - (192/3)
= - 64/3
